So the next day, Monday we had to contact Avis at the airport to exchange for a new vehicle. We got the new mini van, however it did not have any of the upgrades on our original reservation, stow and go or GPS but the van did drive a lot better. Avis did comp us two days out of 10 days we had the rental for, however I feel like they should have done something more then comp us two days, and I feel since we wasted two days of our trip on their issues at least a phone call follow up would have been better. This was the first time we have used them (usually use enterprise) and probably the last.
Hours of operation SUCK! Availability of vehicles Suck, and quality of vehicles Suck! Only Good thing about it the staff was willing to work with you.
We rented a Mini Van from Blaine MN to travel across country with two children, we picked up the van Friday, Feb 24th. Advised the guys there of our travel etc. Also we would be driving in the heart of a winter storm and through some mountains. We did make it to our destination safely. However the next morning we wake up and make out way to church and the tire was completely flat. Spent half the day Sunday getting the issues fixed. Roadside service came out and they were wonderful. Told us that the tire could not be repaired and that the van should not have left with any of the tires that were on it. That the tires had been fixed multiple times and they were unsafe and Avis should have never let us leave in that condition knowing we were traveling across country in a snow storm.
Nice car but very poor service. Wouldn't honor discounts that were promised. When we called to ask questions, we couldn't ever reach him.
This is the best Avis I have been to. The staff [Lee] is very professional Caring and friendly he will do all he can to make my rental perfect if you live in the north suburb of Minneapolis this is where to rent a car. never had a bad experience

Lee's customer service was beyond poor. I am a preferred member and had never experienced this level of unprofessionalism. I will not be returning ever.
